Ingat! XOXO - How to do it like a femme fatale
With "Ligaya't Bala", we wanted to tell a more "fun" story that allowed the model to enjoy on-set while exercising creative direction, stylized yet dramatic lighting, and powerful posing.
We used a key light set to 5600 Kelvin while making it clash with a cooler accent light on the opposite side at all times to create a stylized look, showcasing at least visually the contrast found in the scene: sizzling with empowerment yet cold and deadly. As for the video, we decided to lean into the vintage vibe of 60s Hollywood films to a certain extent with harsh lighting and grittiness as opposed to vibrant colors and smooth textures.
In a very feminist way, this set of photos tackle a modern day Filipina as she lets her inner thoughts grab a hold of her, telling her to have her vengeance on a cheating ex. I guess cheaters never win.
